Why Give Blood?
1. Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to a person – the gift of life!
2. We don’t have to be a superhero to save someone; a simple act of donating blood can also save lives!
3. 3 lives can be saved with the amount of blood donated in one sitting.
4. Every 2 seconds, someone in the United States needs blood.
5. Despite all the wonderful advances in modern medicine, there is NO manufactured substitute for human blood.
6. 36 hours = the time it takes for your body to naturally replace one blood donation.

The district is aware of a rumor described as a Tik Tok challenge to make threats against schools across the USA. There has been nothing credible or specific related to the challenge, and there have been no threats made regarding your child’s school; however, we will continue to monitor. As always, we remain aware and vigilant with safety as our first priority. It is wise for parents to remind their children that making threats can lead to criminal prosecution and also to monitor their social media accounts.--
Scott Campbell,
Superintendent ECISD
